2017 tax receipt reminder

UCC FundThe countdown is on. There are only 24 days until the end of 2017 and to make your charitable gifts to receive a 2017 tax receipt. If you haven’t done so already, we hope your family will consider making the UCC Fund part of your charitable giving this year.

Many members of our community have decided to include the UCC Fund as a priority in their giving this year. They’ve directed their gift to areas such as the Prep Priority Fund, athletics, financial assistance, boarding and many others.

Remember that you can donate to any area of the school that matters to you and your family, and all gifts of any size make a difference. Like all independent schools in Canada, UCC is a charity and we rely on donations to offer our boys the exceptional opportunities they receive.

If you haven’t done so already, we hope your family will consider giving to the UCC Fund this year.

If you would like to make a donation and qualify for a 2017 income tax receipt, please note:

  1. Donations received by mail must be postmarked on or before Friday, Dec. 29.
  2. Donations by cheque may be dropped off to the school in person. While our offices will be closed at noon on Friday, Dec. 22 and won’t re-open until Thursday, Jan. 4, you may leave an envelope either in the mail slot at the clock tower door or with the staff at the arena. Please ensure that your cheque bears a December date.
  3. Stock donations need to be received by our school brokers’ assistant, Jacqueline Pedford, by email at Jacqueline.Petford@scotiamcleod.com on or before Wednesday, Dec. 27. Please contact the school for a stock transfer form.
  4. Donations may be made online at giving.ucc.on.ca to receive a Canadian receipt and www.ucc.on.ca/usgiving for all international gifts on or before Sunday, Dec. 31.

Please contact annual giving associate director Joanne Weedmark at 416-488-1125, ext. 2000 or jweedmark@ucc.on.ca if you have any questions or would like more information on supporting UCC.
