Year 6 and 7 support Nellie’s

Our community engagement leaders in Years 6 and 7 polled their forms and were overwhelmed by their peers’ willingness to support the women and families of Nellie’s this holiday season. Nellie’s mission is to operate programs and services for women and children who have and are experiencing oppressions such as violence, poverty and homelessness.

Each form has been assigned a family profile with gift suggestions. It will be up to each form, in conjunction with the form adviser, to devise a plan for collecting and preparing the items between now and Dec. 1. Nellie’s asks for all gifts to be put in gift bags tagged with the name of the child and mom, and for gifts for a whole family to be attached together – either tied together at the handles or all placed in a recycle bag with the mom’s name attached.

The community engagement leaders thank you in advance for your assistance with this initiative.
