A.L. Cochrane Scholarship at Victoria College

In 1999, Ralph Barford endowed the A.L. Cochrane Scholarship in honour of Arthur Lewis Cochrane, an instructor of physical education at Upper Canada College from 1894 to 1921. Each year, this scholarship is awarded to a student from Upper Canada College currently enrolled, or planning to enrol, at Victoria College at the University of Toronto and who has demonstrated an aptitude for physical education. The award is valued at $3000-$4000.

This award (which I mentioned in an earlier newsletter) is ideal for an accomplished student-athlete applying to the University of Toronto who has identified Victoria College as his first choice. For more information, go to the awards section here.

You must submit your completed Applicant Profile for Victoria College as soon as possible (certainly before the February 1 deadline); once you have submitted this form, you will be given a prompt for the Scholarship Information Form.
